Every day that passes without effective HIV prevention is another day that vulnerable adolescents remain at risk. Across Nigeria, thousands of young people face challenges that increase their vulnerability to HIV, including poverty, limited access to healthcare, stigma, and inadequate prevention services.
At Empower Future Initiative (EFI), we believe that prevention cannot wait. That is why we are preparing to promote awareness and future access to Lenacapavir, a groundbreaking long-acting HIV prevention option that has the potential to transform adolescent HIV prevention.
Our vision is simple: every young person deserves the opportunity to grow up healthy, pursue their dreams, and contribute positively to society without the burden of HIV. Achieving this vision requires action from all of us.
We are grateful to our first donors for helping us begin this journey. Their support is helping us build the foundation for meaningful impact. However, much more is needed to reach the adolescents who remain vulnerable today.
