Project results. Happy story about Hayat.

By Khrystyna Mozhak | Project Leader

Once our future subscriber and her boyfriend were walking through the park near the Golden Gate in Kyiv when they noticed a dog sitting in the bushes.

They looked around but didn't see anyone who could be the owner. They called the dog, and it approached them. It wasn't a stray dog, and it had a QR pet ID tag with the name "Nik" and a phone number on it around its neck.

They scanned the QR code and called the number. A girl answered and said she was the dog's caretaker. She promised to contact the owner and come over. Our heroes sat down on a bench to wait.

There was a girl sitting next to them who asked how long they had had the dog. The subscriber and her boyfriend told the story, and the new acquaintance replied that she would gladly take the dog herself because her beloved was serving in the military, and she felt lonely. She really wanted to have such a bundle of love at home.

Later, the caretaker arrived and shared the dog's story.

It turned out that she found him in the same area six months ago. He was running in the middle of the road with a loose leash. She tried to find the owner but it was unsuccessful. She was also in a hurry to meet at the Hyatt hotel, so she had to take the dog with her.

Eventually, she took him home, took care of him, took him to the vet, microchipped him, and registered the QR pet ID tag under her name. She named the little dog Hayat. Soon after, the owner was found through social media.

He turned out to be a rude person who demanded the dog back, and the caretaker reluctantly returned him.

However, the dog got lost again and ended up with the caretaker once more. The owner found out her home and work address, and he started following her, insisting that she return the dog. Now the girl understands that she doesn't want to give the dog away, but she also can't keep him because she fears that man.

After hearing this troubling story, our storytellers introduced the caretaker to their new acquaintance on the bench. She expressed her desire to take the dog, and they made an arrangement. Hopefully, Hayat's story has a happy ending, and harmony reigns in their home now.
