How did a QR pet ID tag save a Ukrainian fluffy friend abroad?
The heroes of this story are our subscribers with their cat Morty, who were forced to escape from the war to Austria.
This evacuation was not their first one: 8 years ago, this family left Donetsk under the same circumstances. In preparation for the trip, they thoughtfully acquired a QR pet ID TAG for Morty as a precaution.
Upon reaching and settling in Vienna, an unfortunate incident occurred with the heroes. Morty enthusiastically explored the fauna on the windowsill of the first floor and accidentally fell out of the window.
Hoping that their furry friend hadn't run too far, the owners spent 11 days searching the surrounding area, but to no avail. Hope was dwindling when suddenly the phone rang. A local man had found Morty at a nearby construction site; the cat had fallen into a pit and couldn't get out on his own.
The man noticed the phone number on Morty's smart tag and informed the owners about their lost pet. Now Morty is back home, receiving treatment and gradually recovering from the fright. But most important, he is finally home and hasn't lost his family even hundreds of kilometers away.
This story is another proof: do not neglect the safety of your four-legged friends!
For the owner, it's a simple step, but for the pet, it's a saved life.
