This project aims to rescue vulnerable dogs, provide them with medical care, shelter, food, and rehabilitation, and rehome them with loving families. Sri Lanka is home to over 3 million street dogs, many facing starvation, disease, abuse, and untreated injuries. Lack of proper veterinary services and limited awareness contribute to overpopulation and suffering. Rabies remains a public health risk, with 20+ human deaths reported annually. Without intervention, these animals continue to live in fear and pain. This project addresses the urgent need for rescue, care, and responsible rehoming of street dogs.
