This year, our organization has strengthened collaboration with the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) Bands and the Thailand Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce (TICAC) to safeguard children from the growing threat of online sex trafficking. These partnerships are vital in preventing exploitation while reinforcing protective systems that connect law enforcement, schools, and communities.
A core aspect of this cooperation is the exchange of timely intelligence. Our staff work closely with CIB and TICAC officers to share insights on offenders’ strategies and evolving online behaviors. This joint effort enables law enforcement to act swiftly while ensuring that prevention messages reflect the latest risks. By combining our child protection expertise with police and taskforce capabilities, we create a stronger shield against exploitation.
Education remains central to our approach. Over the past year, our team, alongside CIB and TICAC officers, visited six schools and trained more than 3,000 students. These interactive sessions empower children with knowledge about online grooming, exploitation tactics, and safe responses. They also create safe spaces for open discussion, where children learn that police officers and justice officials are allies they can trust.
Promoting child-friendly justice is another key outcome of this work. In Thai culture, police have often been used as figures of fear—adults sometimes warn children with phrases like, “If you don’t eat, the police will arrest you” or “If you don’t sleep, I’ll send you to the police.” Such threats, though casual, can discourage children from seeking help when they face real danger. Our joint trainings actively challenge this norm. Officers engage children respectfully, model positive interactions, and show that law enforcement is here to protect, not punish.
Adding joy to the learning environment, the Police Band plays fun, up-to-date music during school visits. These performances break down barriers, allowing children to laugh, dance, and learn alongside officers.
Finally, the program raises awareness of trusted reporting channels so children know where to turn if they are in danger or need protection. Ensuring children know how to seek help is a core goal of this prevention effort.
Thanks to donor support, thousands of children are not only better informed about online risks but also more confident in reaching out for help when they need it most.
