Project Report | Dec 20, 2023
Addressing the biodiversity and climate crisis

Hello to all our supporters.

The Forever Wild Initiative is unlike any other global effort. Our work ranges from the creation of new finance tools to the direct protection of vast areas of wilderness, to developing community-based social enterprises supporting alternative, non-destructive economic activity.

The Western Desert landscape continues to be our flagship project, and in 2024 we hope to add another 500,000 acres to the protected area, meaning the wilderness under management will exceed 1 million acres. The biological and climate outcomes from this are powerful, but most of all we are showing that all it takes to change our relationship with land is innovation in finance and a true valuation of nature.

Please continue to support us. To buy and manage land we blend donations with impact investment. So far we have raised nearly $2.5 million dollars. That is just a start! While it may seem that a single dollar does not make much difference, imagine if 1 million people gave 1 dollar a year!

Thank you for your continued support. Please share our links and encourage everyone you know to support this critical work.

Perhaps consider making a donation for Christmas :-)

Merry Christmas,

The Forever Wild Team.
