Poppy's mom Gretchen called us after she fled her abuser in Asia. She arrived to the USA and had planned to go to stay with her father with Poppy.
Unfortunately, Gretchen's father caught covid. He was quite ill although luckily he did not have to be hospitalized. Gretchen and Poppy had no where to go. She didn't know what to do.
Gretchen communicated via email with us. We were able to find a domestic violence shelter for Gretchen that could also take Poppy.
Gretchen stayed in the shelter until her father was no longer contagious. Gretchen and Poppy are very happy and safe. Poppy loves to take long walks in the Autumn air.
