You helped Ginger!

By Paula Lucas | Founder

Ginger's human mom Nicole needed to escape her abusive husband and come back home. Trying to get Ginger back to the US without her husband knowing she was leaving was challenging.

Her husband always joined them when she would take Ginger to the veterinarian. Their veterinarian was a good looking man and Nicole's husband was frightfully jealous.

But Ginger needed a health certificate from the veterinarian to be able to get on the plane, and Nicole's husband was still working from home, monitoring her every move. The only time Nicole wasn't under her husband's watchful eye was when she took Ginger for a walk, which he limited to 30 minutes.

With the help of our email advocate, a safety plan including getting Ginger a health certificate from the vet was created. We won't go into detail because it was quite a clever plan and we may use it in the future. But it worked!

Ginger is now adjusting to life at her human grandparents home. If Ginger could talk she would say: Thank you for saving me!

We thank you too! The Pathways Team
