In 2022 we continued to receive requests for help from Americans being abused overseas desperate to bring their precious pets home.
They reach out to us for support because they are unable to get it elsewhere. Trying to escape abuse internationally while being abused is hard enough. Getting a pet out of the abusive home, to a veterinarian for a health checkup and certificate and acquiring an airline approved carrier without the abuser knowing seems almost impossible.
Victims like Tesla. Tesla and his human mom are now safe back home in the USA because they were able to receive information, emotional support, safety planning and resources from our crisis email advocate.
Tesla is safe, happy and loving his first experience of snow! And you made that possible!
