Chester has been the longtime companion of his human mom Denise. Chester moved abroad with Denise when her husband was offered a job overseas.
Unfortunately, Denise's husband became more and more violent as time went by. Denise begged him to stop drinking, as that seemed to exacerbate his anger and hostility. But he refused.
One night, he kicked Chester. Denise tried to intervene but her husband threw her to the ground and began kicking both of them.
When Denise emailed our crisis advocate, all she wanted was to get Chester back home to safety. It took some time to plan their escape including a vet visit for Chester, obtaining an airline approved carrier and transportation to the airport. All without her husband suspecting a thing.
Thanks to you Chester is home safe and sound with Denise, and he is very happy!
