You helped Lori and Taj!

By Paula Lucas | Founder

Lori thought moving to Paris with her fiance was going to be a dream come true. And it was, at least for a while.

Within a few months of moving he would become angry with her for the slightest thing, acuse Lori of cheating on him and even threatened to hurt their rescue kitty Taj.

When Lori contacted us she explained that she didn't want to get married to her fiance anymore but was afraid of what his reaction would be if she called off the wedding. He had punched a hole in the wall in anger the week before and she thought the next time it might be her head, or Taj's.

For several weeks Lori communicated with us via email, considering all of her options before making the decision to leave Paris and come back home to the USA with Taj.

It took some navigating and coordination for us to help Lori get everything in place, but Lori was able to get home with Taj and move in with a friend while she gets resettled.

After she arrived she told her fiance that the wedding was off. He did not take it well, becoming angry and threatening her if she does not return to Paris.

His reaction confirmed to Lori that she had made the right decision.

Without donors like you we would not be able to help victims and their pets get home to safety.

Taj sends a big thank you! He thinks you are the cats pajamas!
