Theresa didn't know how she was going to get Iggy and Pop back home as she was planning to escape from her violent husband. The American Embassy had given her a repatriation loan to get back to the USA but it would not cover the costs of taking Iggy and Pop with her. She could not imagine leaving them behind. They had been her only source of comfort and she knew her husband would harm, or even, kill them if she left them behind.
When Theresa called our crisis line she was desperate. When we told her we could help, she broke down in tears. It is because of donations like yours we able to bring Iggy and Pop home with Theresa.
Theresa wanted to tell you: "I can't express my thankfullness in words. One day, when I am back on my feet, I am going to help raise funds for this program so other women fleeing violence can take their precious pets with them."
We want to thank you for donating to keep victims and pets together! The AODVC Team.
