When Ariana called us from Hungary she was desperate to leave her husband. His verbal abuse, insults and criticism had turned into pushing, hitting and and finally strangulation. Ariana was certain she would not be alive in a week if we didn't help her get out. Arana also wanted to take her kitten, Samson, and her guinea pig, Delilah, with her back to the USA.
We immediately helped Ariana come up with a safety plan that allowed her to get out of the house with Samson & Delilah. We had never relocated a guinea pig before, but Ariana's case manager, Julie, was able to find out all the necessary actions and documentation necessary to bring both Samson and Delilah back home.
Because of donations like yours to our Protecting Pets in Domestic Violence 2015, Ariana, Samson & Delilah are home, safe and sound.
Thank you so much for understanding how important pets are to domestic violence survivors!
