Project Report | Jun 30, 2022
From $60 monthly income to $510

By Francis Mbewe | Project Leader

For many people, $60 is what they spend in a day or two to buy coffee, but for Olivia, that was her monthly income before she joined the microloan program.

Olivia, 39 a single mother with 3 children aged 7,12, and 17, struggled to take care of her children and at one point contemplated suicide until a friend introduced her to our microloan program for women. She was so passionate to embark on a journey to break the cycle of poverty and with an initial loan of $80, Olivia started a small business selling snacks and soda drinks.

Through our training in opportunity identification, savings, marketing, and leadership, Olivia was on her path to greatness.

Her second loan of $150 frog leaped Olivia's business. she expanded her soda business and every day she makes a $12 net profit. From her snack business she is making an net profit of $5 daily.

With your continued support, many women like Olivia will have an opportunity to break the cycle of generational poverty and embark on a journey to independence.

Thank you to all of you our donors who are making these stories possible. Your continued support and donations are getting us closer to meeting our goal of transitioning women from poverty into the middle-income class.

Thank you
