This project will provide 250 IDP families with food kits and personal hygiene products currently residing in the city of Odesa, Ukraine.
At the moment, more than 120 thousand internally displaced persons live in the city of Odesa. We constantly assess the needs of internally displaced persons. More than 70 percent indicated that they do not have the financial ability to provide their family with a basic food package. This is due to the constant rise in food prices, lack of jobs and difficulties in finding employment for internally displaced persons.
The project covers basic needs for food and personal care products. Savings Opportunity: Receiving food can allow displaced families to save money on food and reallocate it to other urgent needs. Stress Reduction: Food assistance can reduce stress and anxiety during the transition period, which contributes to the psychological stability of the family.
Income Improvement: Food assistance can help displaced families temporarily cope with financial hardship, which in turn can improve their overall well-being. Improved health: Access to nutritious foods and essential personal hygiene products (especially for young girls) can improve the overall health of families, especially in the case of children, with long-term positive consequences.
