This project aimed at restoring hope and providing 50 artificial legs to limb loss people affected by crisis in Northeast Nigeria
The endless crisis in Northeast Nigeria caused by Boko Haram has made many people homeless and jobless. Many of them have lost their limbs and have become vulnerable to earn their means of livelihood. Instead of allowing them to seek alms on the streets, Aderonke Rehabilitation Network will provide them with functional artificial limbs to allow them to get back to work and fend for themselves and reduced stigma.
The provision of artificial limbs to children and adults will make them achieve their goals. The children will return back to schools and will not be discriminated against. The adults will be gainfully employed or return to work. By engaging in economic activities will lift them out of poverty.
The project will empower amputees who are victims of the crisis. Giving hope and raising their self-esteem to pursue their goals making them live an independent life.
