By Rai Farrelly | Co-Founder, Project Wezesha
Dear Project Wezesha Supporters,
We are excited to let you know that the founders, Rai Farrelly and Lucas Lameck will be reunited in December to check in, catch up, teach in the December study camps, conduct interviews with students, visit Amahoro Secondary School headmaster and teachers, and of course - get more photos of the desks and chairs that you chipped in to purchase!
This December we will be assessing the current space available for more desks and placing an order to fill any gaps in the classrooms. We can't believe that it has been just over a year since the fabulous Kate Schelbe started her adventure as a teacher in Mgaraganza Village. We know that they miss her as much as she misses them since her time in Tanzania came to an end.
In this season of gratitude and giving, we want to give another big shout out to Kate for launching this campaign and therefore singlehandedly (with the support of her loving friends and family of course!) equipped classroom after classroom with desks and chairs so that students no longer have to sit on 2x4 boards and large rocks.
Thank you to everyone who has chipped in thus far! If you're thinking of ways to give this holiday season, consider purchasing another desk/chair set in honor of someone you care about. Let them know that this gift in their honor ensures that a student can sit and study with dignity and the ability to focus more on academics, than comfort.
Asante sana and Happy Holidays from us at Project Wezesha!
Cheers
Rai Farrelly & Lucas Lameck
