Dear Project Supporters,
Thanks to YOU, the project received $2,276.82 from 6 donors since our last report and 175 new insecticide-treated mosquito bed nets were distributed to beneficiaries in Bumbay at the Ambassador International School and Dream Home.
In the photos you can see some of the kids holding nets and a special Thank You sign for YOU.
"YOUR donations, made this happen!"
According to The Guardian - “Every dollar spent on malaria prevention and treatment delivers $36 in social and economic benefits. Or to put it another way: every $5 mosquito net returns $180 to the economy. Surely, by anyone’s standards, that’s a convincing investment.” - Here's how to wipe malaria off the map
The photos of children wearing uniforms were taken at the Ambassador International School where a total of 150 nets were received. The remaining 25 nets were added to the rooms at Dream Home, an orphanage for children whose parents died from Ebola.
Because of YOU, children who are most at risk are now able to sleep safe and sound. But, hundreds of families are still in need of bed nets in the Wellington community. Each family needs 2-3 nets per household. YOUR continued support will help us provide this life-preserving gift to them today!
Thanks so much for your support!
Best Wishes,
Develop Africa team
