Dear Donors,
In rural Nigeria, health workers often walk more than 10 km daily to reach patients, delaying care for pregnant women, children, and those with urgent medical needs. The “Provide Bicycles for 100 Rural Health Workers” project aims to equip these workers with bicycles, enabling faster travel, more home visits, and quicker responses during emergencies. With reliable transport, health workers can carry medical supplies, expand coverage, and significantly reduce preventable deaths linked to distance and delayed care.
Bicycles are durable, low-cost, and easy to maintain, making them ideal for rural terrain. Training sessions will ensure health workers use them safely and efficiently. With this support, communities will benefit from timely maternal, child, and general healthcare services, improving overall survival rates and strengthening trust in local health systems.
Although the initial donation is encouraging, further contributions are needed to fully provide bicycles and launch the project. With your support, 100 health workers will gain the means to reach more patients, respond faster to emergencies, and make a lasting impact on the health and well-being of rural communities across Nigeria.
Warm regards,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
