1. Background and Rationale
North Kivu, located in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is facing a prolonged humanitarian crisis marked by recurrent armed conflicts and natural disasters. These crises have led to massive population displacements and left many children without family protection.
Among the most urgent needs of these orphaned children is access to decent clothing. The lack of appropriate clothing exposes them to health risks, increases social marginalization, and constitutes a major barrier to school attendance and community integration.
2. Project Objective
The main objective of this project is to provide new and clean clothing to orphaned children at the FED reception center in Goma in order to:
3. Beneficiaries
This project directly targets orphaned children hosted at the FED reception center in Goma. These children of all ages live in extreme vulnerability and often lack clothing suitable for their daily lives.

The project is currently in the preparation phase, particularly for beneficiary identification and logistical organization. The effective implementation of activities is expected to begin in November 2025.
5. Budget and Funding
The total project budget is estimated at USD 7,000.
To date, thanks to collaboration with GlobalGiving, the project has already raised USD 1, a symbolic but hopeful first step. This partnership represents an important opportunity to reach the funding goal and ensure the success of the project.
6. Expected Impact
Through this project, children will not only receive proper clothing but also renewed confidence and dignity. This support will contribute to their emotional stability, school integration, and social inclusion. In the long term, it will also strengthen community solidarity around child protection.
7. Transparency and Organizational Commitment
Our organization is committed to managing funds responsibly and transparently, in accordance with humanitarian principles. Regular reports will be shared with partners and donors to ensure accountability and proper use of resources.
