Over the past three months, we have been deeply encouraged by your incredible generosity. Thanks to 14 compassionate donors, we have raised $4,331 toward our $12,000 goal to provide dignity and essential care for girls who have experienced severe trauma in Malawi. To each of you who has given, thank you. Your kindness is making a tangible difference in the lives of some of the world's most vulnerable children.
Because of your generosity, we are already ahead of schedule. Our goal is to provide every girl who comes through our trauma counseling safe home over the course of a year with essential items that help them begin healing: sanitary products, a backpack for school, clothing, shoes, and bed sheets. So far, your gifts have already made it possible to provide these items for 36 of the 98 girls we expect to serve this year.
Behind every number is a precious child. The six-year-old girl pictured is just one example of a young life that was abducted, but has now been impacted through your support. Like every girl who enters our safe home, she has endured unimaginable trauma, yet she is now surrounded by love, safety, and hope. The group photo shows the girls currently living in our trauma counseling safe home. To protect their privacy, their faces have been blurred, but each one represents a story of courage, healing, and the opportunity for a new beginning.
Thank you for standing with these girls and reminding them that they are seen and valued. We are excited to continue this journey together and look forward to sharing how your generosity transforms even more lives in the months ahead.
