In a country where less than 40% of children make it through 10th grade, we are so proud to report that with your support, 97% of all NYF scholars moved on to the next grade level this past school year!
April is the start of the new school session in Nepal which can be an exciting time for many families.
Unfortunately, youth with disabilities like “Luna” (who is deaf) often face discrimination and can even be turned away from schools, especially in rural villages. Despite how much she’s suffered, Luna is incredibly resilient and eager to learn. She is continuing her education and building a bright future through NYF’s Disabled Students Scholarship.
Thanks to your support, a total of 683 children and youth from desperately impoverished families are safely studying, protected from the threat of exploitation or worse. Of them, 48 students are children with disabilities.
Because of you, children who would otherwise have nowhere else to turn have previously unimagined opportunities.
Thank you!
