“Ansu” is a 15-year-old girl born in Eastern Nepal. Paralyzed from the waist down, she and her family had to move out of their hometown into Kathmandu as there were no schools for physically disabled students outside of the Capital.
Now studying in the ninth grade, Ansu lives with her family in the city, where her mother runs a small beauty parlor. The salary, however, is not enough to cover all the school expenses on top of her daughter’s special needs.
The family was quickly referred to NYF, and we began providing her with a scholarship specifically designated for disabled students.
We are happy to report that after recieving this additional support, Ansu is now doing well, and her scholarship continues to motivate her throughout school. Your support offers her hope and opportunity for a brighter future — and we can’t thank you enough!
