Dear project supporters,
Many families in Sierra Leone were displaced due to the flooding and mudslide disaster that took place on August 14, 2017. Your on-going support continues to bring hope to flood victims in Freetown. Your support helped Salamatu with a microfinance loan so that she could restart her business that had been destroyed by the Flood.
Salamata expresses her gratitude for the loan in this video saying-
Hi, my name is Salmatu a survivor of the August 14th mudslide disaster and also one of the women who benefited from the microfinance loan. So with the money from the microfinance loan you gave me I will buy bread and I will buy flour, this hay, and other items to sell at my business to support my family. I want to say thank you and God bless you
Recovery will continue to be a long-term process. Donations from generous donors like you will help more families that were affected by the flood and mudslide disaster. Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated. We encourage you to start a monthly recurring donation here. Even a few dollars a month will go a long way. Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.
With great appreciation
