Dear project supporters,
Your support is continuing to help the many families in Sierra Leone that were displaced due to the flooding and mudslide disaster that took place on August 14, 2017. You are continuing to bring hope to flood victims in Freetown. You helped Mariatu with a microfinance loan so that she could restart her business that had been destroyed by the Flood.
Mariatu expresses her gratitude for the loan in this video saying-
Hi, my name is Mariatu a survivor of the August 14th mudslide disaster and also one of the women who benefited from the microfinance loan. I used my loan as a capital to set up a small scale business in the sales of cold water and I also produce local soap. I am very happy because I can take care of my family. I want to say thank you, thank you very much.
Recovery will continue to be a long-term process. Donations from generous donors like you will help more students and families. Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated. We encourage you to start a monthly donation here. Even a few dollars a month will go a long way. Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.
With great appreciation
