Dear project supporters,
We greatly appreciate your on-going support that continues to bring hope to flood victims in Freetown. Many families in Sierra Leone were displaced due to the flooding and mudslide disaster that took place in August of 2017. Your support most recently helped 10 kids, four boys and six girls, that received financial assistance plus assorted supplies of a dozen exercise books, colored pencils, crayons, pencils, erasers, and sharpeners. Five kids are from the Bethel Primary School, three from Shalom Academy, one from the St Joseph Primary School and one from the Triumphant International Preparatory School.
One of the ten recipients, Asiatu, expressed her gratitude in this video saying-
Hello, my name is Asiatu, I am attending the Bethel Nursery and Preparatory School. I am in class five. On behalf of the mudslide victims, we want to say a big thank you to Develop Africa and other donors for your educational support to us. Thank you.
While recovery continues to be a long-term process, ongoing support from generous donors like you will help more families that were affected by the flood and mudslide disaster. We encourage you to start a monthly recurring donation here. Even a few dollars a month will go a long way. Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.
With great appreciation
