The program was organized on the yard of Mahakali Kishan Secondary School Chhatre Deurali VDC of Dhading District.
CDC Nepal Chairman Mr. Mohan Kumar Kafle welcomed the participants and also explained to them about the organization and also about the program.
In the program the kids together with their parents stayed in queue to receive support from us. CDC Nepal distributed Rs.1000 in cash and 500 worth of stationery to 250 school going kids from Chhatre Deurali VDC ward no 8 and 9. The kids were from 4 to 15 years of age studying at different schools of the area.
We chose the villages because of earthquake on April 25 and May 12, 2015, five people from ward no 8 and 4 people from ward no 9 were killed. About 150 houses were crumbled away. Almost 90% of the houses have been cracked and are dangerous to stay. Their families have been living under the tents. The villages have been deprived of getting any support from the government or any other organization till now.
At the end of the program the chairperson of the program expressed his lots of thanks and gratitude to CDC committee members for their great support for them. The program ended with lots of hands clapping and laughter by the participants.
There are more kids in the earthquake affected areas waiting from support from us. CDC Nepal would like to support them. For the work we need more fund.
We would like to request you once again to share our fund raising program among your network, family and friends.
We are very grateful to you for your kid favor to us
Warm regards
CDC Kathmandu Nepal.
