We often see poor children begging at roadside who don't have resources to meet their basic requirements and live nomadic life. Such children are way away from the mainstream of education and wander in search of food. It is often seen that lack of knowledge and morality leads them to practise immoral activites and they get involved in theft, addiction, etc.
In order to teach the lesson of morality to these children, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organized "Sanskar and Discipline" camp. We had commendable support from GlobalGiving Foundation and the donor for the program. First, we indentified 510 nomadic and poor children in rural and urban regions and then organized "Sanskar and Discipline" camp for them. RSKS organized the camp at several places and taught such children the lesson of morality and good habits through entertaining and learning games.
In the camp, our activists also taught the children the lesson of cleanliness and made them understand the benefits of health-hygiene. The activists taught the children to wash hands, bath and to wear clean clothes to keep them healthy. The children listened to our activists carefully and took oath to aware of cleanliness of themselves as well as the surroundings.
In "Sanskar and Discipline" camp, one of our representatives met with a 14 years old boy Nitin who lived nomadic life after the death of his parents and took his steps on the way of immorality and got involved in many such activities as toxication, theft, abusing etc. In "Sanskar and Discipline" camp, Nitin realized that he had took wrong path and in the camp he learned good habits and moral values and took oath to give up all bad habits and immoral activites and to start studying. All the localites appreciated the camp organized by RSKS and thanked GlobalGiving Foundation.
