Over the past year the program for women and infant health has served over 1242 pregnant females and almost 1200 infants and children under 15 years of age. Nearly 1000 children were vaccinated for Rubella and 1600 children received Vitamin A supplementation. 688 pregnant women received iron supplementation and 38 very low weight children received health services and nutritional support. There were nearly 1900 clients for family planning.
Staff continue to do home visits for health care awareness. Scabies has become a health issue that required education around hygiene and preventative practices along with provision of hygiene kits. The unique purpose of doing house visits is better understand in what conditions people are living in order to help them better resolve issues linked to their personal environment.
