Provide healthy water & food for 5,953 children

Introduction

AFDD received a grant amount 10000 dollars from GlobalGiving on 20th August 2021. This donation enabled the AFDD to carry out the following two activities :

      Raising awareness on hand washing in schools in Bimbo in the Central African Republic (CAR)

      Assistance to flood victims in Bimbo in the Central African Republic

Project beneficiaries

4,050 students from M’Poko Bac and Nzilla primaries schools and 50 households of district of Gbanikola ine Bimbo

Objectives

• To teach 4050 students to wash their hands to fight against COVID19 and other diarrheal diseases.
• To help 50 housholds victims of a flood

 Activity1 : Raising awareness on hand washing in schools in Bimbo in the Central African Republic (CAR)

The awareness on handwashing is part of the fight against the COVID 19 pandemic. 4050 pupils learned good technical to wash hand.

 This activity took place on 24th november 2021 in the two schools. The students learned the different handwashing techniques through the explanations and through the practice of handwashing.

 The handwashing kit and posters on handwashing technical have been given to two primaries schools. The students learned the différents technical of hand washing. For more informations, Click here

Activity 2 : Assistance to flood victims in Bimbo in the Central African Republic

In partnership with GlobalGiving, the AFDD gave food and basic necessities to around fifty households.

The population in the district of Gbanikola 4 in the municipality of Bimbo was the victim of a flood on August 8, 2021. Several households lost everything in the collapsed houses. The donation was made in partnership with the NGO. The distribution took place on September 9, 2021 in the presence of the local authorities.
