The project "Provide safe water and food to 5953 children" aims to drill boreholes and produce vegetables through agroecological practices in 11 primary schools in rural areas. This is an opportunity to allow 5,953 students to have drinking water and healthy lunches.
The project's activities started on September 1, 2022 thanks to AFDD's own funds and grants from the Paris City Hall. The funding amounts to 11,000 euros, not enough to carry out the projects in all schools.
Schools in Yombo and Sekia-Dallet villages were trained in agroecology in November 2022 and received agricultural inputs (vegetable seeds, tools and other materials).
Regarding drinking water, only the Sekia-Dallet school has benefited from a water borehole.
