REPORT PROJECT: PROVIDE HEATHY WATER AND FOOD FOR 5953 CHILDREN
The project “Provide heathy water and food for 5953 children” aims to carry out drilling and produce vegetable through agroecological practices in 11 primary schools in rural area. Il is an opportunity to allow 5953 pupils to have drinking water and healthy lunches.
The project have been implemented in four schools : The schools in the villages of Yombo, Sékia-Dalet, Nzilla and M’Poko Bac.
In october 2024, AFDD drilled a water well in the school of Yamboro village and provided them vegetable seeds and farming tools.
The pupils were trained in agroecology, biopesticide process, and nutrition.
The pupils helped by theirs parents and teacher, produced on a board surface 300 m2 and harvested 390 kg of vegetables (Amaranth). They eat 266 kg of vegetables and sold 124 kg.
The pupils received 33 dollars. They also sold water and received 17,5 dollars
Before the long school holidays, he pupils of Yamboro Village made nineteen (19) vegetable boards, distributed as follows: seven (07) Eggplant boards, three (03) Cucumber boards, one (01) Lettuce board, five (05) Okra boards, one (01) Small onion board, one (01) Celery board, and one (01) Carrot board.
