Contribute to economic growth and creativity!
By Shayle Havemann | Project leader

Introduction
High unemployment rates and sanctions for foreign manufacturing means that there are limited opportunities to earn an income. Without financial security, getting access to the initial loans to start a business is difficult, if not possible. With only a small number of people having credit to start an enterprise, the opportunities to be self-sufficient makes access to break the cycle of poverty unequal and income inequality continues to rise.
Report
Together with local NGOs and institutions, we identify entrepreneurs with a solid and sustainable business idea. After a selection process, each entrepreneur will get the capacity building required to be given the best opportunity for success. Once trained, they will be assisted with the initial products to be able to earn the money to continue the operations independently. Instead of a high-interest rate, the entrepreneur gets to do a donation to a future entrepreneur!

Project Proposal: Empowering Micro-Businesses in Africa
Background
In the face of high unemployment and low foreign trade, micro-businesses have become a critical source of livelihood for many Africans. The COVID-19 pandemic has further amplified these challenges, making it even harder for aspiring entrepreneurs to access the credit they need to launch their ventures.
Project Overview
This project aims to empower potential business leaders across Africa by providing them with a robust support network that includes mentoring and funding. Our up-skilling initiatives are designed to identify high-potential individuals and equip them with the tools to establish thriving micro-businesses.
Objectives
- Identify Potential Entrepreneurs: Through targeted up-skilling programs, we will identify individuals with the drive and aptitude to succeed in business.
- Provide Mentoring: Offer guidance and support from experienced mentors to help entrepreneurs navigate the complexities of starting and running a business.
- Funding Support: Facilitate access to the financial resources necessary to launch and grow their businesses.
Expected Impact
By supporting micro-businesses, we aim to:
- Reduce Unemployment: Create new job opportunities within local communities.
- Stimulate Local Economies: Increase business activity and generate economic growth.
- Foster Entrepreneurship: Cultivate a culture of self-reliance and innovation.
Conclusion
Your support for this project has the power to transform the lives of countless aspiring entrepreneurs across Africa. By providing the tools and resources they need, we can help them build sustainable businesses and contribute to the economic development of their communities.

A New Business From Nothing
By Tyrone Bennett | CEO of Action Change
Hi There,
19 months ago we setup a skills centre in the local township school with a priority focused on women that had been forced to drop out of school at a young age, start a family and been stuck in the home. Now their children are a bit older we wanted to run a skills program where these women came in and learnt how to sew.
Going from zero to business women, meet Dorcus, our amazing teacher who worked with 6 women for 12 months and now two of these women was given a small business grant to buy a sewing machine and some material, now they are selling items to the local tourist markets and are the main income provider for their family.
This was made possible with your donations for us to offer both women a $500 grant and now they are fully sustainable and fighting poverty in their own community. It's so amazing to see and we hope to be able to help more as the training programs rramp up in 2024!
Thank You,
Ty
