We have prepared this report to provide you with information about the activities we have carried out thanks to your donations.
The effects of the wars raging right next door to Turkey, the country’s most devastating earthquakes in history, and the deep poverty caused by the economic crisis continue to worsen. Along with nearly four million refugees, local communities—especially women and children—are struggling to access basic necessities.
For refugees arriving in Turkey from countries such as Syria, Palestine, Afghanistan, Iran, and various African nations, access to basic necessities—including healthcare, shelter, and food—has become even more difficult due to the economic crisis, natural disasters, and displacement. The most devastating earthquakes in our history, which struck in 2023, triggered yet another wave of internal displacement for both local communities and refugees, further increasing their vulnerability. The effects of the economic crisis, compounded by wars in neighboring countries, have created a large population in Turkey living below the hunger threshold and in deep poverty. Deep poverty hits infants and children the hardest.
For this reason, we are using your donations to meet the basic needs for food, diapers, and hygiene supplies for newborns in 500 households.
Every donation you make helps meet a baby’s most basic and urgent needs, supporting a healthy start in life and healthy growth.
