Summary

Survivors' Network plans to provide a temporary shelter to 50 displaced women who are at risk of being trafficked in the South West region of Cameroon. Women will be provided with accommodation and essential services, such as medical assistance, psychological support, and food. They will also receive skills training and help setting up a business. As the armed conflict continues in the South West region of Cameroon, many people are fleeing rural areas in the hope of finding safety.

Challenge

Challenge As the armed conflict continues in the South West region of Cameroon, many people are fleeing rural areas in the hope of finding safety. Human traffickers thrive in this environment, preying on the vulnerability and hope of internally displaced girls and women.

Solution

Solution Survivors' Network will provide shelter and training to 50 vulnerable women. They will take part in sessions focusing on human trafficking, human rights, and self-sufficiency. These women will become spokespersons in their communities, informing others about the risks of being trafficked.

Long-Term Impact

Long-Term Impact The 50 women who will be housed and trained with entrepreneurship skills, allowing them to find employment as well as becoming agents to prevent human trafficking.
