Dear friends,
Thank you very much for your support to the Shoes Campaign. This year too, we are planning to distribute 400 pairs of shoes to children of High School students of Gowdavally village.
As we have already discussed, wearing shoes not only protects feet of children, it also enhances their esteem and their zeal to go to school and study well.
Though we were not able to raise donations through this campaign in the recent times, our commitment to the welfare of our children remains intact. We however thank our patrons for supporting campaigns dealing with education of Sphoorti children. That is indeed a great help.
We take this opportunity to share with you, story of a boy V who comes from a tribal community of Adilabad district.
V comes from a very backward area of Adilabad called Utnur. He lost his mother when he was an infant. He came to Sphoorti in the year 2008 when he was in STD II. Now he is in STD X and is getting ready for Board Examinations.
When he finishes STD X, he would be among handful of children from his village qualified to go to College. Your support over the years have saved many children like V from abject poverty and ignorance. Now V wants to go back to village after his studies to save more children from his community.
Sphoorti salutes each of you for the great support. Because of your generosity, our journey has been possible and we are completing 11 years of service next Sunday.
