A New Challenge for the VTC YUM Cipanas

Computer Class Students at the VTC

After finishing successfully the 7th term of the Vocational Training Center (VTC) in September, we realized that we had to overcome a challenge: the new governmental school schedule. This new schedule affects, especially, to Senior High School students who start school at 6.30 am until 3.30 pm, that is, 9 hours of studies. This obviously clashes with our VTC’s classes that are supposed to start at 1pm. As a result of this, by the end of the 7th term, from 200 students only 141 students could take the final test and only 115 students were able to receive the certificate (due their attendance became less of 75% required for receiving the certificate).

Hopefully the 8th term will run well and we will be able to face the challenges by opening the VTC on weekends. That will serves to accommodate students needs to improve their skills and their quality of life.
