Project Report | Apr 21, 2025
The CAMHS received additional textbooks from the Ministry of Education about citizenship building.

By Abigail S. Teah | Media Officer

The availability of civic education textbooks makes a major impact to preparing our students for active and responsible citizenship. These books, likely filled with insightful information about the rights and responsibilities of citizens, will serve as valuable resources for students to learn about their roles in society. It covers a wide range of topics, including the history of citizenship, the legal framework of the country, and the importance of civic participation.

By marking these books available to students, the ministry of education is demonstrating its commitment to fostering civic education. This initiative will not only equip our students with the knowledge they need to understand their right and responsibilities but also inspire them to actively participate in the democratic process.

The school was very excited to receive this donation from the Ministry of Education. We believe by incorporating citizenship concepts into the curriculum; our students will develop a deep understanding of their rights and responsibilities, fostering a sense of belonging and civic engagement. It will empower them to actively participate in their communities, promoting a shared sense of purpose and contributing to a more equitable society.

According to principle Gueh, Citizenship education promotes tolerance and understanding. By exposing students to diverse cultures, perspectives, and beliefs, will help them develop empathy and respect for others. Through collaborative learning activities, community outreach programs, and intercultural exchanges, students learn to appreciate the richness of human diversity and build bridges across cultural divides.

To the Ministry of Education and our generous donors, we are deeply grateful for your invaluable support towards this project. We are humbled by your dedication and look forward to continuing our work with your ongoing support.
