Surgical Relief in Northern Syria: Your Generosity at Work!

By Baraa AlSharbaji | Fundraising Officer

Due to the extremely harsh conditions in northern Syria, many patients in desperate need of surgery cannot afford the associated costs. Thanks to your generous donations, we have been able to perform complex surgeries for numerous patients in northern Syria, offering them a brighter future.

At the orthopedic clinic in one of SEMA Hospitals, we recently treated a fifty-year-old patient who had suffered a broken collarbone in her left arm due to a severe accident. After a thorough clinical and radiological examination, it became evident that there were signs of delayed healing and movement of the fracture. Given the complexity of her case, the patient was referred for anesthesia consultations, and all necessary medical tests were conducted in preparation for the operation.

Additionally, the patient was struggling with chronic high blood pressure. She was transferred to the surgical department, where a highly successful surgical procedure was performed, and our medical team ensured that the patient's health and vital signs returned to normal.

These surgeries serve as a tangible example of the positive impact your donations have on the lives of individuals in dire need of medical care. Nevertheless, we continue to face significant challenges in covering the expenses of surgeries for many individuals in northern Syria. These displaced people endure extremely challenging conditions, with many of them suffering from injuries and illnesses that necessitate urgent surgical interventions.
