The surgical operations program in SEMA forms the backbone of its medical services. Surgery is the medical technique performed for the patient as an urgent necessity to preserve their life or enable their body organs to function properly. This, in turn, allows them to play their roles in society and work to support their families and protect them from collapse.
SEMA’s medical staff performed 694 surgeries during last October, and a large share of these surgeries were done for children. Further, 379 neonates were born through Caesarean sections while 19,821 beneficiaries were reached and served within the surgical operations program.
The impact of your support for this campaign has reached nearly 20,000 people, and this is not a normal number. This means that, through your support, we could protect 20,000 families and help them have a healthy father, a healthy mother, or a child full of hope and vitality.
We express our thanks to each of our donors. With your support and high humanity, we were able to perform urgent surgeries, preserve the lives of our patients, and enable them to play their role in their society and work to care for their families. It is not only a program for surgeries, but it is also a way to protect the community of the war-survivors from another collapse.
