In northern Syria, the grip of malnutrition on innocent children remains relentless. Thanks to your incredible donations, we have already made a difference and saved numerous young lives. But the need is far from over, and we cannot afford to stand idly by.
Malnutrition continues to ravage the lives of countless children, with nearly half of those under five years old affected by chronic malnourishment. These innocent souls are deprived of the nourishment they need to grow and thrive.
The causes of malnutrition in northern Syria are numerous and heartbreaking. The devastating impacts of war, abject poverty, mass displacement, and the lack of access to essential food and clean water all contribute to this crisis.
Let us share with you the story of Haneen, a 7-month-old girl who recently received our help. When our dedicated SEMA field team discovered her, she was in the clutches of severe malnutrition. But thanks to your support, Haneen was given the vital treatment and care she needed. Today, she is a picture of health, having triumphed against malnutrition and reclaimed her childhood.
Yet, for every Haneen we save, there are dozens of other vulnerable children awaiting our lifesaving intervention. They are relying on your compassion, your support, to rescue them from the clutches of malnutrition. Every moment counts.
