Due to the conditions of poverty and hunger, the disease of malnutrition has spread significantly in the camps of northern Syria, due to the inability of families to provide the necessary and healthy food for their children. Thanks to your donations, we were able to treat dozens of malnourished children there.
When SEMA's team met little girl Israa six months ago, she was suffering from severe malnutrition. Israa was only six months old, but she was so weak that she could not even sit up. She was suffering from diarrhea and constipation, too, and her face was very pale.
Malnutrition is one of the worst remnants of the war in Syria. Many families cannot feed their children well. This has led to widespread malnutrition among children and has caused many serious health problems, including impaired mental and physical development, weakened immunity, and an increased risk of disease.
Thanks to your donations, SEMA's team was able to provide the necessary treatment for Israa and help her regain her strength. Six months later, Israa was playing with her little brother as if she had never been injured.
