While the United Nations acknowledges that malnutrition continues to claim the lives of half of all child deaths, the situation in northern Syria appears to be worse than expected.
Malnutrition in northern Syria is one of the most critical conditions requiring medical intervention in the region, as it affects one in every five children. This can manifest as stunting, or growth deficiency, all of which are forms of widespread malnutrition.
Thanks to your support, we have provided treatment for a hundreds of malnourished children in northern Syria and improve their health until they fully recover.
The child Hussein, one of the heroes who overcame malnutrition, visited one of our specialized clinics in his hometown of Kafr Takharim in northern Syria. It was not easy, but with the care provided and the attention of his mother, his weight increased from 113 to 133, safely surpassing malnutrition without any risks. Thank you for your support.
Many are waiting for our field visit with your support. We will reach every child suffering and break this cycle of widespread malnutrition.
