Dear Supporter,
A short time ago, we shared with you the heartbreaking story of baby Lara — just a few days old, her tiny body ravaged by a severe case of meningitis. She arrived at our hospital burning with fever, convulsing in her mother’s arms, and hanging between life and death.
Her family, displaced and desperate, had nothing to offer her but prayer… and hope that someone, somewhere, would help.
That someone was you.
Because of your generosity, Lara received immediate, life-saving treatment in the intensive care unit at one of SEMA’s hospitals in northern Syria.
Today, we’re overjoyed to share the news:
Lara has recovered. She’s been discharged from the hospital, and she’s starting her new life — healthy, safe, and full of light.
Your support didn’t just cover medicine or a hospital bed —
you gave her a future.
But for every Lara who survives, another newborn is fighting right now — struggling to breathe, to survive, to see their first birthday.
Your continued giving can save them...Please, help us continue this life-saving work.
With heartfelt gratitude,
