Dear Supporter,
Hussein, a 41-year-old father from Harim in northern Idlib, never imagined that his life would change so suddenly. While living in Türkiye, he experienced a severe spike in blood pressure. A quick hospital visit turned into a life-altering diagnosis: dangerously high creatinine levels and kidneys that could no longer function on their own.
That day marked the beginning of his battle with kidney failure — and the start of a journey that would test his strength, patience, and faith.
When Hussein later returned to Syria, he spent months searching for a place where he could continue his lifesaving dialysis. Then he discovered SEMA’s Renal Dialysis Center in Kafr Takharim — a place he now describes as “mercy, care, and humanity.”
Three times every week, Hussein travels to the center for a four-hour dialysis session. He arrives exhausted from the road, but leaves with a sense of relief — knowing that the toxins draining his strength have finally been removed from his body.
The road is long, but your support shortens it.
Because of donors like you, Hussein benefits from patient transportation services, sparing him the hardship of long, painful travel. For him, the journey to treatment is no longer a path of suffering — but a path of hope.
Between the weight of illness and the warmth of compassionate care, Hussein found a lifeline at SEMA. Not just through machines and medical equipment, but through the hearts of the people who stand by him — and the supporters who make this center possible.
Today, Hussein’s life continues because someone like you cared.
And hundreds of kidney-failure patients depend on the same support every single week.
Your continued generosity keeps these centers open, keeps dialysis machines running, and keeps families from losing the people they love.
Please help us sustain SEMA’s Renal Dialysis Centers and give patients like Hussein a fighting chance.
With gratitude,
