Your Support Just Saved Baby Wateen's Life!

By Baraa Ali | Fundraising Officer

Dear Supporter,

We are grateful to share a powerful reminder of the impact your generosity creates.

Earlier this week, a newborn baby girl named Wateen was rushed to one of SEMA’s hospitals in northern Syria. Only one day old, she arrived in critical condition—struggling with severe respiratory distress, extreme cyanosis, and acute infections following an emergency C-section birth. Her tiny body was fighting for every breath.

Our neonatal team immediately admitted her to the incubator unit, where she remained under intensive care for more than fourteen hours. Thanks to the expertise of our medical staff—and because of your support—Wateen’s condition gradually stabilized. Today, her breathing has improved, her color has returned, and she is finally out of danger.

For her displaced family, this is nothing short of a miracle.
And it is your kindness that made it possible.

Your support doesn’t just fund medical care — it gives newborns like Wateen a chance at life, and it gives families hope they thought they had lost.

Thank you for standing with Syria’s most vulnerable children. Your compassion saves lives every day.

With deep gratitude,
SEMA Team
