Baby Ali arrived at one of SEMA’s hospitals in northern Syria in an extremely critical condition.
Born prematurely, his fragile body was fighting two life-threatening conditions at once: severe sepsis and respiratory distress.
His breathing was unstable.
His tiny body was overwhelmed by infection.
And his family feared they might lose him before they had the chance to bring him home.
Our neonatal medical team acted immediately, providing intensive respiratory support, essential medicines, continuous monitoring, and specialized care.
Thanks to your generous contributions, Ali received the treatment he urgently needed.
Day by day, his condition began to improve.
Doctors were able to stabilize his breathing, control the infection, and gradually move him toward a full oral feeding plan.
With every breath and every feeding, Ali became a little stronger.
Today, his family can look at him with hope instead of fear.
