Dear friends and project partners
The past 2-3 months have been months of intense practical sessions for the trainees - especially so with the additional sewing machines that the trainees received - thanks to you and other GlobalGiving donors. This brought new life and hope to the institute.
A total of 20 trainees (1 male, 4 married) are looking forward to completing their training shortly. They look forward to helping support their homes through sewing for others / starting a tailoring business. 10 of them are single parents. Some of them are dependent relatives to deceased Ebola victims.
Passion: Following the arrival of new machines, the trainees are now spending more time in the institute. At times they stay very late - as late as 10:00 pm. Thanks to your support, that are excitedly making the best use of this opportunity.
Most of them now have received the required skills to start their own tailoring business. Today they have hope to keep their dreams alive.
Impact: The Institute has helped them learn how to sew – enabling them to sew outfits / clothes for themselves, their children and their relatives. They have also obtained a belief in themselves that they can change their lives - if they work hard enough.
Thanks so much for helping to provide the new machines - helping them develop new skills and consequently receive new life and hope. This is what change is all about!
With appreciation, hope and excitement
