Thankful for Your Support

By Amy M Baty-Herbert | Project Coordinator

Your support has been life-changing for multiple vocational trainees, including Kadiatu.  Kadiatu started attending the Stella Maris Vocational Institute for catering in December of 2020 and will be graduating soon.  She is truly grateful for the support she has received that has made catering school possible.  Kadiatu is hopeful of finding a job and eventually owning a restaurant of her own, enabling her to support herself and her family.

Kadiatu tells about the dish she is preparing for her catering practical in this video

Hello, my name is Kadiatu. Today happens to be our practical, and I am preparing fish/chicken salad. These are the ingredients I used which include: cabbage, carrots, and onions.  This is the pepper, this is the chicken and I've already seasoned, this is the mixed cabbage and this is the fish, which I have already seasoned.

Thank you Develop Africa for your support.

We are truly grateful for the support vocational training has provided to students like Kadiatu for the past several years.

The focus of this project -vocational training - falls under the larger umbrella of workforce empowerment. Since we already have another project focused on workforce empowerment after a review, we have decided to combine the projects and streamline our efforts. This will help us to be more efficient. With this in mind, we will be phasing out this project shortly.

Are we going to continue providing vocational training?

Yes, there is a dire need for this. We will enthusiastically continue to do so. You can support vocational training through our workforce empowerment project.

When we phase this out, your recurring donations (if any) will go towards Workforce Empowerment.

We wish to say a special "Thank You" again to all of you who are making recurring donations.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to email us at globalgiving@developafrica.org

With great appreciation,

Amy & the Develop Africa Team
