We are in the middle of the school year and we keep our energies and hopes as if it was our first day. Over the years our goal has always been giving the best education we can offer and thanks to you we can move a step forward and give them the best in technology.
While our students keep growing up and moving forward, our hearts get filled with joy with all the stories and memories the teachers, parents and students share with us. As you remember from our previous reports, thanks to this project we could provide tablets to our students in secondary and high school. We still have to collect funds to support 7th grade. In one of our parents' workshops we had the opportunity to talk to one of the parents and we wanted to tell you about them too.
The Tocora family has been with us for many years, we have seen some of their children graduating and some still in the process. When one of their children, Mateo, came to the schools he had a problem with his vision that nobody knew about. Teachers from a public school would give up on him and say he was up for no good. Our amazing teachers, always working an extra mile, found out with the help of a medicalprogram that came and donated their time for NDG schools that the problem was his vision and helped him.
In the present he wears glasses, is top of his class and since he got his tablet in secondary school, he has found a passion for technology. He can use the different platforms of the school, increasing his knowledge in the courses too, and explore the possibilities technology has to offer. When he grows up he wants to become a Software Engineer. Now with the help of the tablet he likes to learn more about other countries and languages, he loves to play games that teach him English, and helps his other siblings and parents understand the benefits of technology.Thanks to your donations we help students learn about different work fields and inspire them to open new doors for a better future.
Our students are now receiving classes at school and we couldn't feel happier to have them more time. With the help of technology we are able to show them better ways of learning and working. Now they know that some of the schoolwork that they are doing in class can be finished at home thanks to Google classroom, Teams, Tzunun and other platforms
By having technology in our daily education they are developing new abilities which will help them in the future. Thanks to your donations we are able to prepare our students for a world where technology is not something you want but something that you need.
